Products and Technologies
ASC works the full EDA product spectrum from fundamental research
through end-user tool delivery and support.
Our HDL translators are shipping products in use by designers around
the world. We partner with other firms to deliver technologies we
have developed such as automatic testability insertion. We also
conduct multiple advanced research projects, often in conjunction
with universities and other third-party subcontractors.
HDL Translators
ASC translators help make IP more usable by reducing
the effort required to move designs from one HDL to another:
VBIT Automatic Testability Insertion
VBIT is a high-level testability
synthesis tool that automatically inserts IEEE-standard JTAG boundary
scan logic into VHDL designs. Developed by ASC under the SBIR
research program, VBIT was until recently sold by Mentor Graphics
as their BSDArchitectT product. We are now seeking
new partners to distribute and support this exciting tool.
Advanced Research Projects
Since 1990, ASC research efforts
have yielded a variety of technologies and products valuable to
electronic designers and EDA providers. These main projects are
underway today:
- Architectural synthesis for low-power
design optimization based on ALF libraries. PACIFIC is
