In order to play Battlefield V on High or Max settings with no stuttering, your laptop needs to have at least the hardware mentioned in the recommended system requirements. It needs to have at least a Core i7-4790. NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1060 6GB is the recommended video card models if you want to increase the view distance, texture details, and particles. The required RAM is 8 GB only, which is great. Battlefield V also supports “Ray Tracing” or DRX. In order to enable this newest feature, a laptop needs to have an NVIDIA RTX 20 series graphics card, at least an NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 2070 (RTX 2080 recommended).
What is Ray Tracing?
Ray Tracing is basically the newest lightning rendering method to achieve a very high degree of visual realism. Implemented in NVIDIA’s RTX platform, the newest RTX 20 series GPUs.
In computer graphics, Ray Tracing is a rendering technique for generating an image by tracing the path of light as pixels in an image plane and simulating the effects of its encounters with virtual objects. The technique is capable of producing a very high degree of visual realism, usually higher than that of typical scanline rendering methods, but at a greater computational cost.

A 5 min Comparison Video – Battlefield V: GTX (DXR off) vs RTX (DRX on):
Is having an RTX laptop worth the price?
Well, yes and no. Having Ray Trace (DXR) enabled it has quite an impact on performance. More than half of the fps drop. But it looks nice for sure. I say if you can afford, of course, by all means, go for it. It is a nice feature and you will be well equipped for future DXT supported games.
On the other hand you will be just fine and enjoy the game with GTX series laptop.
