Alternative System Concepts' CEO, Jake Karrfalt, Participates in MIT Enterprise Forum Satellite Broadcast

Windham, NH -- August 25, 2003 -- Jake Karrfalt, President and CEO of Alternative System Concepts, Inc. (ASC), an EDA firm that develops advanced design automation software for the semiconductor industry has been invited to present at the MIT Enterprise Forum.
Mr. Karrfalt will be giving a presentation as part of a panel on the topic of "No Money Down: Raising Capital From Unconventional Sources" at MIT's Kresge Auditorium on September 18 beginning at 7:00 PM. The session, which is part of the Enterprise Forum's ongoing Satellite Broadcast Series, will be aired to thousands of viewers across the nation. Members of the panel will share different lean and mean ways to finance a growing business without the help of venture capital or angel investors.
Mr. Karrfalt, who graduated with the MIT Class of '61, will be joined on the panel by Pamela Lipson who is CEO and President of Imagen, Inc., maker of computer vision software and Dr. Bernd Schoner, Managing Partner of ThingMagic LLC, a Cambridge-based research and development firm. The panel's moderator will be Vic Petri of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
