ALF Compiler with Access Routines
The
ASC ALF Compiler accepts a library defined in the Advanced Library Format
(ALF), reports any syntactic or semantic errors, generates an optimized
intermediate format representation of the library, and provides an applications
programming interface (API) to that format. Pretty printing modules can
also generate processable ALF or Synopsys .lib format libraries from the
compiled intermediate format.
The ALF modeling language provides a long awaited single common library
format suitable for use with EDA tools at all levels of the development
process. ALF has been approved as IEEE standard 1603.
The ALF Compiler makes ALF libraries available for processing by any
EDA function, including synthesis or layout programs and library management
utilities. The Compiler's API greatly facilitates integration of ALF library
data with existing or new development environments.
